MEET THE FOUNDER
Raja Sahota
Founder & Director
Raja has spent much of his professional life developing and leading experiential education and cultural immersion programs, bringing people from different backgrounds together through travel, learning and shared experiences.
His work has taken him across diverse communities and environments, where he has built lasting relationships with local educators, community organizations and program partners.
He founded Broken Earth with a simple belief: meaningful travel should do more than introduce people to new places. It should encourage curiosity, build understanding and create genuine connections between visitors and host communities.
Today, Raja works directly with partner organizations to design thoughtful, locally grounded programs that combine educational purpose, practical experience and responsible travel.
Our experience and track record
Broken Earth draws on years of experience in experiential education, international program management, cultural immersion and community-based travel, including professional experience working with Cross-Cultural Solutions, Global Leadership Adventures and the University of Guelph.
These experiences have shaped our approach to designing meaningful, well-organized programs that connect participants with local communities, encourage cross-cultural understanding and create opportunities for learning beyond the classroom.
