Experience and safety
A BIT ABOUT US
The Broken Earth Project (BE) seeks to enhance the cultural exchange of visitors to India by providing logistics and support to schools, universities, and public institutions to conduct programs in safe, supportive, and immersed environments. Focused within northern India, XLS accommodates a wide range of diverse programs and experiences, with topics that include photo journalism, community service, academic programs, and history, and lengths that range from a week to several months. We work with our clients to facilitate holistic learning, supporting the organization, the attendee, and the trainees, and offering solutions for all program logistics.
XLS recognizes that organizations seek different types of learning and engagement from travel. For this reason, we work with our programs to develop comprehensive, tailor-made solutions to each unique program. There is no one model for what XLS provides. Past clients include Global XXX, a program that selects and mentors youth aged 14-25 from X countries to do service-oriented learning. XLS facilitated community service opportunities, mentored students, and provided all logistics for transport, safety, food, and cultural sensitivities. Other programs include specialized trekking experiences with photography, history, and cultural learning components. Individual students seeking service and academic learning support have also been accommodated, with XLS offering local mentorship, connections to community informants, and logistics for safety and transport. XLS staff has nearly 20 years of experience in travel coordination, program design, and community service.

This GLA program in India taught me how to appreciate another totally different culture from a distance, not to judge it or intervene in it. During this trip, I learned how to see the unique beauty in other cultures. This ability is very important because it makes the world a more peaceful place.
